Welcome to Heart Of Japan, a club dedicated to Japan and all things Japanese! ^w^
Our goal is to teach ourselves and members: how to speak Japanese; learn about Japanese cultures; learn how to draw in popular Japanese manga style; learn how Japanese crafts; and even learn how to make Japanese dishes ~ yum!
Lessons and tutorials will be up soon!

General Rules

:bulletpink: Please respect what we do as a group, so we do not wish to see any abuse left on our pages about the pictures and texts. This includes in not using obscene language and rude remarks. Be nice, ‘kay?
:bulletblue: DO NOT FAVE WORK HERE! If you wish to fave or comment on the picture, go to the original one which is located in a link.
:bulletgreen: Can only submit two pictures every one week. You’ll have to wait for our reply though, first.
:bulletyellow: One deviation per note.

Joining

:bulletpink: Send a note saying that you wish to join. The subject should be something along the lines of ‘Join’.
:bulletblue: Watch the club
:bulletgreen: Put the club icon into your journal or signature so that we could become widely-known on DA! You can do this by putting : iconheartofjapan : (without the spaces)
:bulletyellow: You’ll have to wait for our reply of your acceptance into the group.
:bulletpink: Guess what? You can now start submitting! Over to the submitting rules…

Submitting

:bulletpink: ‘cause we are a Japan lovers club we only accept Japan stuff! Whether it would be manga/anime, or anything related to Japan and Japanese culture. Pretty obvious, no?
:bulletblue: Make sure that it is your work, not someone else’s that you are submitting. We don’t want a cat fight breaking loose.
:bulletgreen: You can only submit two pictures every one week, but you must wait for us to notify you once we've uploaded your work.
:bulletyellow: To submit you must send us a note. Not comment, note. It must include the following:
- Name/ Title
- Link to your original work
- Category whether its traditional, digital...you get what I mean.
- Keyword(s). I will not accept “anything you want”.

And make sure that the subject is something along the lines of ‘Submit’, please.

After a serisouly long time I've finally started the promised japanese lessons! Even as we speak am I writing it out, just need to make it into a picture and it would be uploaded soon xD So keep your eyes pealed, guys, because it's arriving on a fast horse! xD
Just a lil' note...keep the calendar pictures coming! We wanna see more beautiful artwork from you guys ^_^

As of today I shall be sending out invites for our 'Japanese Calendar Contest!' Of course, it only applies to members, although if you are interested in joining then we would be delighted if you became a member ;)

So there was a time when, sadly, we abandoned this club for a little while due to never having the time to be on it...
BUT NOW WE'RE BACK! xD

Eherm, anyway, please present our lovely new moderator, =Tajii-chan ! She is a very good friend of mine and *princess-tarot so please welcome her with open arms and hearts. Now that we are back and running, we are going through your notes, so watch out for those new submissions!
And that isnt all: The contest is back on! I am going to publish a new journal for it. Please, we need your donations and wonderful entries, as it is a uber-awesome contest ;) (And our first ever one!) [link] That's our journal! ^_^

I'm now going through our members list and watch them xD But it might take a while! So bare with me

Also, watch out for those Japanese lessons! Yesh, they are going to be taught by your lovely Admin, me xP Woooot!

Oooh that would be great! I am preparing myself in loading tutorials on how to speak japanese and (hopefully) write it, but I'm just reading off a book >.< What do you know of japanese culture? ^_^
