Hi guys,
I have a message for you on behalf of the
Admin Team. We've noticed that recently a ton of
deviations have been submitted to the
wrong folders. We'd like to remind you to pay attention to where you're submitting your work since it benefits not only us, but you as well!
Since we're a
big group, we've limited submissions to
two per week so your inboxes don't get flooded. But if you submit something to the
wrong folder, it still counts as one of your submissions even if it was not accepted. So if you submit two works to the wrong folders, you've got to wait an entire week before you can try resubmitting them. To help you out, we've put together a
journal in case you're having difficulty finding the right
folder for your work.
(If you're one of the members who's been submitting to the right Folders, disregard this Journal and keep on doing what you're doing!)Fanart:If your deviation is a
fanart for a
manga, anime, or game, we have a special
folder for that. All
manga, anime, and game fanart should be submitted to this
folder, whether it's
traditional or
digital. Please note that even realistic drawings of anime/manga/game characters go in
this folder and not our other fanart folder, and similarly, any fanart for
real people, even if drawn in anime/manga/chibi style,
do not go in this folder.
If it's a drawing of a famous person (Japanese actor/actress, singer, historical figure, etc., drawn in
any style, including anime/manga style), there is a special
folder for that too, called
Other Japan-Related Fanart.Neither one of these should be submitted to the Traditional or Digital Art folders. If you submit them there, they will be rejected. The Traditional and Digital Art folders are used for all other non-fanart deviations.OCs:Please submit
all drawings of original characters to either Traditional or Digital Art,
even if they are OCs for a manga/anime/game. Our reasoning behind that? They are
your original creations, so therefore they are not fanart!
Cosplay:Cosplay pictures should always be submitted to
Cosplay, not
Photography. We created the
Cosplay folder recently for a reason!
Photography:Nothing besides
Photography (photos of Japanese architecture, landscapes, products, people, etc.) should be submitted to
Photography.
Please make sure you pay attention to folder names.Just as a side note: Please keep in mind that this is a
Japan-related group, so all works you submit must be related to
Japan in some way, shape, or form, otherwise they will not be accepted. If you are unsure whether
admins will know why your art is
Japan-related, put something in the description or title to help us out! Remember that if we can't tell why it's related to
Japan, we're not going to put it in our group.
If you ever have a question about where your art should be submitted, all you have to do is ask! Send a note to the group or write on the group's wall and we'll be happy to help you. That way you won't have to keep resubmitting and we won't have to keep rejecting your wonderful work! Believe us, we
hate doing that because we want everyone to be able to share their art in our group.
We hope these tips will help the submission process go more smoothly for everyone. がんばって!
Best of luck with future artwork, and keep in mind that we're still collecting
Points to become a
Supergroup! So if you have any extra
Points lying around, donate to =
TheUninvitedOne for
llamas and
features (more details
here).
Much love,
~
